Agreement between FS Logistix, F2i SGR and FHP Group for entry into CFI share capital
FHP and MarterNeri S.p.A continue to invest in the Port of Livorno – two new warehouses covering over 17,000 m² unveiled
Livorno, 28 May 2026 – FHP today officially opened two new warehouses in the Port of Livorno covering over 17,000 square meters, which will be used to store forestry products, paper, and cellulose handled by FHP MarterNeri on behalf of producers from 11 countries worldwide for the European pulp and paper industry.
The new indoor areas, created by repurposing two sites following the demolition of a warehouse and a cement plant dating back to the last century, will contribute to increasing the total capacity of the Port of Livorno. Their rooftops will be fitted with solar panels with capacity exceeding 1 MW and are designed to increase their long-term durability, thereby reducing maintenance costs.
FHP MarterNeri’s investment through the company NGI was over €23 million.
The inauguration was attended by Luca Salvetti, Mayor of Livorno and Davide Gariglio, President of the Northern Tyrrhenian Port Network Authority – who alongside the relevant agencies made possible and contributed to the swift realization of these new facilities – as well as other representatives from the Customs Agency, Guardia di Finanza (Italian financial police), and the Port Authority.
FHP MarterNeri operates in the ports of Livorno and Monfalcone, working in synergy with the other FHP Group terminals. Livorno is a multipurpose port linked to the TEN-T network, specializing in the comprehensive management of maritime and land logistics. It offers unloading, shipping agency, warehousing, and distribution services for forestry products (cellulose, paper, timber), non-ferrous metals, and bulk cargo. It also handles the unloading and loading of grains, legumes, oilseeds, and flours – including organic varieties – using flat warehouses and silos.
The terminal covers a total area of approximately 150,000 square meters, including warehouses measuring approximately 80,000 square meters, and is equipped for the entire operational cycle: from receiving ships to storage and final distribution or vice versa.
